The curriculum at Learning Express Academy is designed to be challenging, yet structured to accommodate the unique individual needs of each student.

A strong reading program provides the foundation of a quality elementary school education, and Learning Express Academy places much emphasis in this area. The core of our curriculum focuses on a phonics-based reading program that provides children with a solid foundation in fundamental reading skills. One-on-one attention from teachers, as well as small group activities, offer children the opportunity to progress through the reading series based on their individual reading level. Students learn to develop a love for reading, not only in their daily class work, but through periodic visits to the school’s Library.

In addition to our phonics-based Reading program, the curriculum is comprised of Penmanship, Science, Social Studies and traditional Mathematics concepts. Students are challenged in each subject not only through conventional teaching methods, but also using creative learning centers and manipulatives. All subjects are taught in a manner that makes learning interactive and enjoyable for the students.

Starting as early as Kindergarten, children also enjoy participating in a variety of Special Activities, designed to compliment our curriculum and provide students with a well-rounded elementary school experience. Refer to our Special Activities page for additional information.
